Breaking down the plot: Life is Beautiful
Life is Beautiful (1997)
Rising Action: The Nazis take Guido and his son, and
are being put on a train for the concentration camp while his wife too doesn’t
want to be left behind without them and boards the train too. After reaching
the camp, the men and women are separated but Guido finds ways of telling his
wife that he remembers and loves her while working very hard also trying to
make it all seem sweet for his only son.
Falling Action: The Nazis leave and the Jews come out from hiding and meet and empathize with each other while the Americans come to rescue the Jews and then give a ride to Guido’s son. Guido’s son believes it as part of the prize of the game his father talked about and was exuberant with joy.
Resolution: The boy found his mother when he was in the army tank and goes to her. Both of them are very happy to see each other and the film has a different happy ending without Guido.
